I didn’t expect this from typical local football club cantine. I didn’t google the restaurant before going there, since the others told me its a small restaurant near a football field . I was thinking more of a standard fries and sausage type of dish which is typical for this kind of restaurants that are near a football field. I was shocked when they brought me the starter. You will never imagine this kind of food to be served there judging by the looks of the restaurant. All the dishes tasted delicious. The perfectly balanced food with the wine pairing and the great stuff is the reason to come back anytime again. That justifies the reviews this high Nothing more to say, I will come back again for sure!

Wow, this place is an absolute surprise! Given the location of the restaurant, next to the Cornaux football field, you would expect very simple cuisine. But this is really gourmet style of cooking! At lunch there is only one menu ( two in the evening) but what a quality! The soup and the main course were delicious! The new chefs that took over this place really take cooking seriously! And all of this for a very good price, we paid for two menus including 2 beers around 50 CHF!

Un vrai restaurant gastronomique entre les vignes du canton de Neuchâtel. J’y ai eu la chance de déguster un menu surprenant encore exécuté sous le patronage du chef. Les cuissons impeccables du porc et les sauces complexes apportent un sentiment de maîtrise dans la valorisation de nobles produits. N'oublions pas la salade de carottes revisitée, incontournable. La présentation est une œuvre d'art à apprécier avant la dégustation, pour aboutir à cette explosion de saveurs qui restera dans ma mémoire. Les associés se complètent depuis l'accueil jusqu'à la préparation des plats personnalisés. Je leur ai fait part de mon intolérance à la moutarde et sans tarder on m'a indiqué une option sans cet ingrédient.

Un festin dans un cabanon de foot ? Oui, et c’était incroyable !

D’habitude, un "cabanon de foot", ça sent la chaussette oubliée et la bière tiède. Mais ici, à La Cantine, c’est une autre histoire : tout transpire la passion… et pas celle d’un match serré, mais celle de la bonne bouffe !

La carte est plus petite que mon espoir de faire un régime, mais chaque plat est une dinguerie. Tout est fait maison, et ça se sent dès la première bouchée. Je suis presque sûr que le chef a signé un pacte avec une divinité culinaire.

Le service ? Exceptionnel. On te sert avec le sourire, et chaque assiette arrive comme un chef-d’œuvre. Et puis, ces petites touches spéciales dans la mise en place… Franchement, j’ai hésité entre manger et encadrer mon plat.

Bref, si tu veux bien manger dans un lieu improbable, fonce à La Cantine. Mais préviens tes papilles, elles risquent de ne jamais...
