We booked the Hotel Walserhuus for our wedding reception and dinner a year ago and we know immediately that we are in best hands. We booked all rooms which 3 had a hot tub on a large terrace 2 with view to the mountains and one to the valley and Sertig village. All room walls, beds and furniture were made with Arven wood. It gives the feeling you are in a mountain place which I love so much. The decoration in the hotel and rooms are typical Swiss way. The owner is a multi Schwinger (Swiss wrestler) King and you can see allover the hotel his trophies.||I know this region from childhood. I was born and raised in Switzerland and my family often spent hiking vacation in the area. That's why I want to have my wedding at this special place. So many memories. The whole valley with the hotel and chapel looks like a fairy tale.||The staff were very professional, very friendly and helpful with any request we and our guests had to make our special day a memorable one. The reception after the wedding was in the hotel garden and the local specialty appetizers were nicely presented. The 4 course dinner was served in the larger dining room. Food was exquisite, very tasty and perfect presented. I'm a Swiss chef and know about quality food and presentation. They did an outstanding job!! Compliment to the kitchen. The same with the breakfast buffet. All different kind of GOOD bread, cheeses and cold meat, birchermuesli (Swiss specialty) home made jam, honey and so much more.....It was nothing missing.||Our guests from allover the world were so happy and couldn't stop with compliment about the hotel, service, food and location.||Thank you to the Biaesch family and team to make our wedding celebration to a memorable one we never...

Read moreSpent two nights with my family (2 young children age 2 and 5) at the Walserhuus and can strongly recommend it for the following reasons: 1) stunning setting, 2) good food, 3) friendly service, 4) child friendly and 5) good value for money for Swiss standards.||||The hotel located at the very end of the picture perfect Sertig valley close by Davos. Traditionally furnished, simple rooms. Very comfortable bed. We stayed in the room named "schellenursli" that has a large terrace with hot tub overlooking the mountains. Very nice restaurant with outside terrace in the summer, good food and a little. Hold corner for you children to play in while you enjoy you after dinner drinks. Very friendly service who made our children feel welcome. The hotel is a typical mountain hotel, so if you are looking for a spa and the full 5 star amenities this hotel is not for you. If on the other hand you are looking for a cozy base in a stunning Swiss valley, you can't go wrong here. It is a short 10 minute drive to Davos from the hotel (there is a regular bus service). Also, they have a romantic grill hut you can rent for dinner (CHF 100) that seats 14 people. We had a fondue dinner there with 3 other families and had...
