We spent 2 nights on a "Dein Deal" arrangement including bed and breakfast plus one 5 course gourmet meal and one Pizza dinner. What a GREAT deal. The hotel is quite charming with typical Swiss country furnishings in the two dining rooms with lovely draperies, table linens and fresh sunflowers to add to the ambiance. Our room was small but immaculate with VERY comfortable beds and nice towels and linens. Also plenty of amenities in case one forgot to bring along their shampoo or body lotion. The gourmet meal was excellent. Each course attractively served with no rush to get us out although we were the only ones dining in the separate "Biedermeierstübli". Also a nice selection of 7dl quality wine by the glass which allows one to have both white and red wines with the appropriate courses. The dessert course, 3 different kinds of chocolate ( brownie, white chocolate mousse and dark chocolate mousse) looked too good to eat and were all delicious. The pizza dinner was also first class. I had the Parma ham and arugula with cherry tomatoes pizza which was wonderful. Quality ham, sweet fresh tomatoes and arugula on a crisp not too thick crust. Unfortunately too big for me to eat it all so my husband had to help out. Our breakfast was very good. It included fresh orange juice with coffee and warm milch, a basket of croissants and sliced bread plus a small platter of various cold meats and cheeses. No buffet breakfast but still good value. The service was attentive and professional. All the staff were friendly and so we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again. Certainly a great place to stay for hiking or sightseeing...

Read moreIt’s such a pleasure to review this lovely hotel – everything from check-in to check-out just ticked all the boxes for us.
All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful, our room was huge and stylish with a lovely outlook over the hills, the included breakfast was varied and delicious and the ambience and styling of the hotel was top notch. We very much appreciated how the hotel emphasised local and community connection such as employing local staff and prioritising using quality local produce in the restaurant. The restaurant was top quality – we enjoyed it’s modern take on traditional dishes such as a delicious baked marrow bone entrée and the 3-way pork main that included a very tasty cordon bleu, spare ribs and bacon. We loved chatting with the new manager about his plans for a back yard bar, local food larder and a community food market and look forward to seeing it all in action. We will...
