Restaurant Das Elephant — Restaurant in Falera

My husband and I chose the elephant as a treat for ourselves during the ski holidays while our kids were at the ski school. Food was always delicious and the service was always fine. Today one of my kids came with us and we told her how much we had enjoy the restaurant and their food for the past years. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with a specific waitress who was not friendly but it seems only to us. Firstly she was upset as I ask her something in English (I don’t speak German) and she did not spoke a word of it (I don’t expect everyone to speak English but is not a reason to get upset), my husband asked for 1 thing from a three course meal and she almost brought the 3 courses but my husband clarified the situation with her and she did not like the comment at all. We had a little soup brought by a really young waiter and as I couldn’t understand what was it, I asked the waitress and she was really rude and said she didn’t know and asked us if the other waiter didn’t explained to us. We noticed at the begging that the whole menu has changed but we didn’t hesitate to try it thinking on our previous experiences. The food was brought and it was fine. We were just finished and my kid was looking forward to have a dessert and the waitress came and literally said: would you like a dessert, no dessert for you better the bill as I need the table and kick us out. The table next to us was as surprised as we were when we heard that. For a second I thought it was a joke and she said in Italian that it wasn’t. I have never been kicked out from a restaurant that way, it was really unpleasant. We understand that it is a busy restaurant and that it is only open a short period of time but I consider unacceptable the way she asked us to leave. I just hope nobody else experiences...

The food was great, also served quickly, but the waitress... First we were seated by others, even though there were free tables. But that's alright. When we asked to pay, she said ok. In the meantime she was serving like other 5 tables, which would be ok, if the pair beside didn't ask to pay and they were served instantly. Then I reminded the waitress and it took additional 15 minutes. By the end, another pair asked to pay and they were also served instantly... not sure if she had some problem with foreigners even though I speak German. Food great. Waitress...

The food was glorious it looked incredible and tasted amazing. The staff though… while i was eating i heard so many glasses fall to the ground and break + the wine took ages to come and wen it came, it wasn’t even that good(gently said) at the end, as we(me, my family and some friends)finished there was a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing was that we each got a macaron and the bad thing was it took ages for the bill to come. With that said my review...
