Auberge Communale — Restaurant in Gilly

Arrived on a Monday at about 6.30 pm. Absolutely no-one to be found. A helpful neighbour located my room key so that I could gain access.. The restaurant, although billed as open 7/7 does not open on a Monday! Beware as there are no other restaurants in Gilly the nearest town is Rolle which is 5 km away! As I had no car this was a problem! There are no English channels on the tv apart from CNN and the dvd player in my room did not work the Wi-Fi connection was intermittent! Nous sommes aller pour la première fois dans ce restaurant. L'accueil était très chaleureux et nous avons pu manger sur la terrasse. ||Nous avons commandé un tartare: la serveuse n'a pas demandé si le tartare devait être très,moyennement ou peu épicé, elle n'a pas demandé si le tartare devait être servi avec ou sans alcool. Le tartare était bon, malheureusement il y avait des morceaux filandreux, ce qui n'était pas très agréable.||Nous avons aussi commandé l'ardoise du boucher. Une fois le canard était dur, sur la deuxième assiette le canard était tendre. Pour le boeuf celà était aussi différent sur le deux assiettes, quand à l'agneau cétait assez semblable.||Ce qui était dommage c'est que la pierre chaude a très vite refroidi. Le serveur nous a dit en débarrassant qu'il aurait pu nous l'échanger contre une chaude....trop tard... informez en les clients en servant le repas.....||Nous avons tous pris des frites: pas une était croustillante, une vrai déception pour ce restaurant....en plus elles n'étaient pas chaude.||Avec l'ardoise nous reçumes différents légumes. Nouvelle déception! Les légumes étaient tellement cuits, qu'il ne fallait même plus les mâcher. Incroyable!!!||Nous avions pensé trouver un restaurant où nous aurions pu y revenir régulièrement , mais la qualité du repas servi ne vaut pas le prix.||Lors de la commande du repas, il aurait déjà fallu savoir si l'on prenait un dessert ou pas!!!!!
