First impressions matter: the pastry chefs here greet every single guest with a loud and cheerful “bonjour”, which sets the tone for a warm welcome to this gem of a neighbourhood pastry and bakery shop.

Two options thereafter: sit in the pleasant tea room for table service, or order at the counter and sit at the common table. I prefer the second as this affords a wonderful view of the chefs at work, bantering about while they prepare their ganaches, mousses and fillings.

Ça fait plaisir de retrouver des tartes à fruits ! Les tartes aux pommes, cerises, abricots et pruneaux sont les meilleures que j'ai jamais goûté! On se sent très bien accueilli par tout le personnel ce soit par les patrons (qui lancent des merveilleux "Bonjour !" depuis la cuisine), où par le personnel derrière le bar, toujours souriant.
