I was glad we found such a Swiss restaurant which does Not have cheese fondue on their menu but delicious local farmer’s recipes! Ordered a farmer’s steak and a mixed salad with sausage. The steak which was unbelievably tender and had abundant flavour. The sauce is no ordinary steak gravy but must be a secret recipe! I’m not a steak lover but after tasting a few bites from my partner’s plate, I decided to come back for this steak! The mixed salad with sausage is made of fresh vegetables which must have been marinated in vinegar and herbs by the restaurant as the veg was crispy and maintained original fragrant of veg. A great choice for a light diner. The restaurant is accessible only by foot as driving is not allowed on the road to the restaurant. The nearest parking is about 30 minutes walk away. Pick a path and walk/run/skip 2,5ks gently winding up to Unterlaulen. Visit the barn with Swiss cows, goats (with their 1week old kids right now) yaks, farm cat and donkeys. When Covid restrictions ease off, pop into the restaurant for coffee / creamy hot chocolate, or indulge in traditional swiss meals. The 20 minute walk to this three generation family restaurant was absolutely worth it. It was the end of their wild season, and I have to say, it was the best wild dinner I have ever had.

Hidden in a peaceful valley near Mount Pilatus, away from everything. The freshly hunted wild menu was incredibly tasty and generous. Great selection of local Swiss wines, all fresh and regional.
