If you want to stay away from the hustle-bustle of Lucerne main town and yet stay near enough, then I would highly recommend this place. This place still has that quaint village life and near enough for city life as well. Great gratitude to Isabelle who manages the place. We arrived early at 10am because our flight landed at 6.30am, but she was very courteous enough to get a room the moment one of the guest checked out. Truly appreciated the gesture and her hospitality without making a fuss over it. |Coming to the hotel and the room, the lake view room was simply amazing which overlooked the lake. Pin drop silence with views fo docked boats, swans and ducks that swam through. No complains about the room. Being vegetarians we didnt find much of an option on the menu but had dinner just once there at their restaurant. Maybe they could cater to something like a pizza or something on their menu. Another thing I feel they could improve on is the water. Just 500ml of water in the room is not enough when you have 3 people living in it. And then paying a whooping 7CHF feel pretty steep.|Early morning and evening walks are very pleasant around the hotel with trails around the lake. With the guest travel card that the hotel provides for free is great option to catch a free bus ride to Lucern and explore other areas. Pretty good restaurants around the hotel as well. Overall I would recommend this hotel and wouldnt mind...

Read moreTourists should make the trek here rather than stay in Luzern. One can get good quality food like in the city — without the poor customer service.
In Restaurant Sternen, the workers are all friendly and efficient. As an American who now lives here, I found myself missing the „chit-chat“ of restaurant staff. Here, the employees were not shy about having small conversations with our table. Also, almost four different people made sure our table was doing fine. I was surprised to find this caliber of customer service in Switzerland.
We didn’t stay in the hotel because our house is nearby, but it‘s nice to meet here for drinks and/or dinner.
The outside eating area is right on the water. An alternative to an expensive dinner is to sit at any of the small tables overlooking the water and the gorgeous view of the mountains (the view never seem to stop inspiring even one lives here).
The food is healthy and fresh at typical Swiss prices, so might as well come here the eat in the city with poor...
