If you feel adventurous and prefer to take the Gotthard pass instead of the tunnel, I definitely recommend you to stop by for a quick bite or coffee before heading up or down the mountain. With a large parking and both indoor and outdoor space, this typical Swiss-alp cafe is a good spot to relax and quickly get a break. Good coffee, a few traditional dishes also on the menu, like their local savory pie.

It was a great place with tasty food. And had decent amount of choices. We loved the beef dish with rice and potatoes. Also they have a kids play area which is great for kids who were stuck in the car for longer time in winding roads.

Al generaties een familiebedrijf met een trampoline en Lassie. Zoals bekend is in Zwitserland alles duur, maar pas in dit land in godsnaam op je snelheid, op dat gebied zijn ze hier KNETTERTJEGEK! Exorbitant hoge en inkomens afhankelijke boetes en heel veel wisselingen van de max. snelheid kort achter elkaar. Je mist gemakkelijk een snelheidsbord en dat zullen ze niet herhalen. Dus als je je afvraagt waarom iedereen neurotisch veel langzamer dan de max. snelheid om je heen rijdt en opstoppingen veroorzaakt, komt dat omdat men bang is te hard te rijden en eigenlijk geen idee heeft welke snelheid op dat moment geldt. Gewoon een hufterig beleid, net als die lullige jaarvignetten. Vliegen gaat sneller en kan dus veel geld en...
