Gasthaus Iddaburg — Restaurant in Kirchberg (SG)

Wonderful Location but the food is quite bad. I was there at Lunch time and even then, the salad buffet seemed stale. The (house made) Cheese tart was most certainly microwaved which destroyed the texture of the dough so it was just a piping hot slab of melted goo. Also, it seems to have contained a lot of Raclette cheese which is highly unusual in a cheese tart (even in Switzerland, haha). Maybe it's better for dinner but for lunch it's not recommended. I would go there again for a Coffee or Ice...

Found this online and stopped by on a short lay-over at Zurich airport. Drove up some amazing hilly roads to get to the place and we weren't disappointed. The chef and the host were kind and attentive. Language was an issue, but nothing that some strategic gesturing and some root-words couldn't overcome! We had a spectacular meal in an equally spectacular setting! Certainly worth our visit...

This place is remarkable! The restaurant is situated on the top of a hill with beautiful views and an amazing atmosphere. Both the food and the service were amazing! I highly recommend trying one of their Gordon blues. I can’t wait for my next trip to Switzerland to come visit this place again...
