Restaurant Kreuz — Restaurant in Krattigen

I do not recommend to come on a Sunday, it was very crowded, the food took very long time, even the waitresses felt bad and came to apologize because the kitchen overloaded.

But the food was good, very big portion. I had steak, they came with french fries, unfortunately no veggies, but you can order extra, but it would be too much for me. The pepper sauce was also extra (I thought it's included because they ask me if I want sauce or the herb butter)

My family ordered small portion pastetli (like a pie with mushrooms) and it was super big, can't imagine how's the normal portion. Probably because the kitchen was overwhelmed, the bottom part pie wasn't excellent, it wasn't crispy, and kinda hard probably because it's soaked in the sauce?

But I've been here often a few years ago when I visited Swiss, it was always good, so I really think it's due to too many customers. That's why I don't recommend to come on a Sunday lunch.

Food is very good except that's it's too salty. We had the veal and pork which was good and portions were very enough. The location is also amazing. The young waitresses are so friendly and nice. But, our experience was bummed but the fact that online reservations don't work, so we almost ended up without a table cuz they had no record for it (didn't seem to even know that they had online registration), and the woman at the reception /manager /also waitress was so rude to us in her way of speaking, and didn't accept to change our table even though they had the possibility later, we would've understood but just the attitude...

Best meal I’ve had in Switzerland! And I’ve travelled a lot to be able to judge that - first of all, service from the two gents - you both are so friendly, efficient, and good in recommending what we should try out. Thank you for making sure everything is ok and we are happy! Secondly the food - oh wow it was delicious, cordon blu schnitzel and the fresh fish fillets were so yummm! And third is the view of the amazing lake! Def grab a table outside as it gets busy and enjoy the meal and the view! Highly recommended and would return if come back to...
