With a few small tweaks, I think du Grand-Pont could make my 5-star list.
The Food: There is definitely value here - itâs not as expensive as some of the auberges but you walk away well fed.
My negatives are dessert - the tart citron was underwhelming, too sweet and not enough citron. I was also lacking in the citron filling - more meringue than citron. I love tart citron, and this is the dessert I am pickiest about.
The salad, maybe a little too much dressing - I donât like my salads swimming in it.
The Service: Friendly and efficient, with maybe a little sass from the serving us. But, I guess for finishing our meal we received some complimentary limoncello - extra points for that.
