Gasthof Bären — Restaurant in Langnau im Emmental

I stayed at this hotel on a bike trip. I was shown a single room with a bathroom down the hallway so opted to pay a small supplement to take a double room with ensuite. The room was freshly painted - in pistachio - and was fresh and clean. Simple decoration and furniture made for a charming room. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. I ate at the hotel and the food was good quality and well-prepared. Tap water was CHF5 for half a litre. By chance, there was live music on the terrace. The manager and staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was nice with a large milky coffee, Bircher muesli, yoghurt, various breads, croissants, spreads,...

Great place ! Well situated not far from ce center of the city and the railway station. The hotel is on the traditional side or old school, lots of charm ! The restaurant is traditional as well. The staff is very friendly. For the price, you can't go wrong. Easy parking in the front...
