Mary's Cafe — Restaurant in Lauterbrunnen

Owner was quite rude and most unwelcoming. A member of her staff seated me at 1130 in a blizzard for a quick coffee. Before coffee arrived she insisted I move because "you have to understand it is lunchtime", There were guests at just one table. I told her that she needed to talk to her staff, she didn't listen and as member of staff was arriving with my coffee I left with the rude owner continuing to be rude. I am glad I do not work for her and I would NEVER set foot in this café again. First rule of a service business is be polite to customers and don't lecture them. A business that will not serve you a coffee at 1130 should not call itself a cafe!!!!! Owner has claimed that it was past midday but lies also. I have the read out from my Jungfrau lift pass that shows that I got on the last lift of my day outside her...

Hey hey ...very cozy place , beautifully nested to the slopes,provide a warm atmosphere and tasty dishes for lunch...and some hot drinks for the skiers...and visitors...Every day of the week there is a special dish ....check for yourself ...my favourite is Sunday roast quail...so deliciously done at the fireplace...you are welcome to look at the cooking...This lovely place has a great outside terrace and the sun makes it even more relaxing for your lunch or drinks. Some witches from the wal observing your mood and care about your experience there.Some evening there is some dinner event as fondue or barbecue ...To be sure of the table , make a reservation ...often...

This restaurant is in the most beautiful setting, located at the bottom of the Lauberhorn. The views from the windows in this quaint and cosy restaurant are astonishing. The food and drink were brilliant, my favourite being the Tartiflette which I had high expectations for after endless recommendations from family members, and it did not disappoint! With a chair lift back up to Allmend allowing you to either ski down from there to Wengen (which is local) or get the train up to Kleine Scheidegg and ski down, it is in a great location and makes for a great place to stop for lunch after a long...
