Where do we even begin? The Lenkerhof Hotel and its Events team are, without question, one of the most extraordinary gems out there. From the moment we began working with Kesh, Marta, the reception and restaurant staff, and every support team member in between, we were treated like absolute royalty.

We got married at the stunning Bühlberg restaurant operated by the Lenkerhof and hosted multiple pre and post wedding events at the hotel. Every single space was pure magic. The venues offer storybook views of the Swiss Alps’ mountains and valleys.

As a multicultural couple from the United States and India, we wanted to bring our loved ones together to share our love for Switzerland. With less than 4 months to plan, Kesh and team worked tirelessly, coordinating venue details, food, décor, and staffing to perfection. Despite the time difference between the U.S. and Switzerland, Kesh was willing to jump on calls and exchange emails until every single detail was just right.

In fact, we booked the Lenkerhof for our wedding before ever seeing it in person or meeting the team - so yes, we were a little nervous. But once we arrived for our venue tour and tasting, every worry disappeared. The staff’s warmth, the breathtaking spaces, and the culinary excellence made it instantly clear that we had found our perfect place.

We kicked off our celebrations with a Mehendi event onsite, where the Lenkerhof team delivered delicious food, drinks, and impeccable service. On the wedding day, guests were transported to the incredible Bühlberg restaurant, welcomed by the sound of alp horns and traditional Swiss entertainment. The elegant décor framed the jaw-dropping views perfectly, and from the ceremony to dinner to dancing, every moment exceeded our highest expectations.

To top it all off, we hosted a farewell brunch at the Lenkerhof the next day, sending our guests off in style and giving us precious time to savor the final moments of our celebration.

We cannot overstate how amazing this venue is. The Lenkerhof is a hidden gem - but we doubt it will stay hidden for long. If you want the wedding of your dreams, this is where you’ll find...

Wir haben uns extra am Vortag vor der Wanderung erkundigt, ob an diesem Mittag uns das Entrecôte und das Lammfilet serviert würden und ob wir einen Tisch reservieren müssten. Das erstere wurde uns bejaht, das zweite verneint, so dass wir sicher sein konnten, dass wir nach unserer ausgiebigen Wanderung unser Wunschessen auf dem Bühlberg würden geniessen können. Sicherheitshalber kontrollierten wir am Wandertag nochmals, dass nichts weiteres auf der Webseite publiziert sei als dass am 15.9. wegen einer Hochzeit das Restaurant besetzt sein werde. Und selbst am Anschlag bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir unsere Wunschmenus ausgehängt. Als wir dann drin sassen, kriegten wir bloss eine mickrige Karte und wurden regelrecht abgespiesen. Von der Leitung war niemand zu sprechen. An eine Alternative war nicht zu denken; wir waren zu Fuss und viel zu weit von jedem anderen Gasthof entfernt. Und damit nicht genug: auf unsere Reklamation wurde explizit (sogar auf doppeltes Nachfragen) kein Fehler eingeräumt und uns auch keine Antwort gegeben, wie wir uns noch besser hätten informieren müssen, damit wir nicht in eine solche Enttäuschung hinein laufen. Einzig ein Glas Prosecco wurde uns offeriert, wenn wir denn das nächste Mal zu Besuch kämen. Aber wie wir das nächste Mal uns vor der Enttäuschung schützen könnten, wurde uns auch auf Nachfragen definitiv nicht erklärt. Fehler können passieren, und wenn uns jemand aufzeigt, dass er sie erkennt und sich darum bemüht, dass sie nicht wieder passieren, dann sind wir die ersten, die das honorieren und es nochmals versuchen. Aber so etwas haben wir jetzt noch in keinem der vielen Betriebe in der letzten Zeit erlebt und werden uns hüten, uns noch einmal so unverschämt behandeln zu lassen. Es ist schade, wenn ein Betrieb an so schöner Lage derart hochnäsig geführt wird.

Ergänzung vom 31.10.2018: Jetzt behaupten Sie doch in Ihrer Rückmeldung, wir wären erst nach 14:30h gekommen. Wir halten folgende zwei Dinge fest: wir trafen um 12:45 Uhr bei Ihnen ein. wir haben uns extra zuvor erkundigt, ob wir die beiden Menus bei Ihnen am Mittag bekommen.

Wir sind über alle Massen erstaunt, wie sehr jemand lügen muss, nur um seinen Fehler nicht zugeben zu müssen! Schrecklich! Und wir wären die ersten, die einen Fehler verzeihen, ausser er...

If you are staying in Lenk, please go there. The place is fantastic—not the restaurant itself, which is fine, but the view and atmosphere are unreal. It's also a good starting point for hiking. You can take a bus or drive with the car (only experienced drivers), and there's plenty of parking. From Lenk, it's only about 15 minutes. You can also hike up there, which is pretty close. The restaurant has a modern playground for kids, too.

The view: You are as high as the mid-station of the cable car going up to the Adelboden ski resort, and you have an astonishing view of the surrounding mountains of the alp. These look unreal in spring, with friendly and clear wheter and snow on the top of them. I could have stayed forever and will go...
