Well, well. Where to start? We were able to "choose" our table online with our reservation and we were excited about the prospect of sitting right next to the window and being able to enjoy the incredible view. However when we arrived, we first had to wait around 15 min at the front desk before anyone attended to us, even though, there were free tables literally EVERYWHERE and not too many people, it was nowhere near full. When we were finally attended to, we didn't get the table we reserved but instead had to sit somewhere more inside. "Sorry, it's complicated..." the waiter muttered as he sat us there. Aha? Okay. But then it got worse... It took AGES before someone came to our table again (this time a lady) and asked for our order.. I told her we had preordered a fondue bacchus (meat fondue) and when she asked if we wanted an apéro or something, I told her, we were starving, we would have a bottle of wine and we would like to start eating soon. I kid you not. It took them more than an hour. Our reservation was for 13:00. And we didn't start eating before 14:30. Not even the tiny little salad that came with our fondue was served beforehand. As you can imagine we started to feel miserable. When the food finally came we were already so pissed and almost couldn't enjoy it anymore. The food itself was okayish. You could eat it, but it was somewhat love- and soulless. The meat was okay. The sauces were a joke, based on mayonnaise, and 2 of them were (the same) curry and the 3rd one was a cocktail sauce. The potatoes were just that, potatoes. The weird thing is... The waiters seemed nice but what the HECK was going on there?! Why were they so overwhelmed when it the restaurant was nowhere near full?! I imagined one person in the kitchen trying to do everything themselves...I also imagined the waiters doing the cooking and the waiting of the tables at the same time... I felt bad for them but all in all it was a weird and disappointing experience (we celebrated our anniversary there). Sadly, the nice view (that is IF you are lucky enough get the table next to the window, the one you originally reserved...) doesn't make up for everything... Hey Big...

We had a reservation for 2pm, arrived on time to a large scrum of people at the door to find our table wasn't ready - but told we could wait on the terrace and someone would call us. 45 minutes later nobody had come so we went back, finally got a table and starter at 3pm. By 4pm we hadn't received our main course, when it did arrive there was no word of apology.

At this point we complained at the 2 hour + wait for our main course only to receive the rude reply ,'Did you not see how busy it was', and 'what do you want me to say', our reply was 'Sorry?', to have the reply 'We were going to say sorry at the end of the meal and offer you something, now you have said that we might not!'

We could not believe this reply! In the end we found the manager who offered us our drinks. Dessert arrived just before 5pm when we were told we should hurry not to miss the last cable car down!

Really dreadful service, very rude waitress, food OK, not what you expect from a...

WE WILL NEVER BE BACK.

Our experience was very bad, we went there on Saturday, January 20, 2024. For sure we booked in advance and we had our table on time. However, the menu was very limited especially if in our case since we did not eat pork meat, also the menu was different from the one on their website and this was surprising for us. Finally, when we asked for a non-alcoholic fondue, the staff were very impolite and refused to remove the alcohol saying that they prepare it once and all together for all the people and they did not want to prepare it separately for us. This is unacceptable reason, since we tried the fondue without alcohol in several places all over Switzerland, e.g., Zurich, Geneva, Lucerne, Saas Fee, Swiss holiday park, and all of them welcomed our request.

Unfortunately the food was very bad beside the impolite and very slow service...

During my business trip in Lausanne my officemate recommended this place for a day trip sight viewing of snow. It was indeed a spectacular view. The 360 rotation will take you about an hour. On my visit, I had their full course menu of the day. They have duck liver that day. It was awesome! My first duck liver ever. Service wise it was not too good. But it was understandable because it was a busy day. Fortunately, they were able to give a table even without reservation.

Definitely worth a visit. Can book via telephone or email and during the summer not 100% necessary but saves a wasted trip. Over the course of 90 minutes you slowly rotate whilst enjoying your food. We had the fondue and there was plenty for 4 people and the child's pasta was described as "great" by a 12 year old. Getting there from Leysin is a 25 CHF gondala ride (return) and that gives spectacular views also.
