Grill- Speiserestaurant Obsee — Restaurant in Lungern

I guess you review the restaurant and the camping at one place! Camping: The camping place was super sweet. We were lucky and got a spot right by the water with a beautiful view of both the lake and the church. Did you guys know that the church bells right every hour throughout the night? oh and at 5am (or 6am not sure) they ring continuously for 5 minutes? You didn't? We also didn't, but now we do. Wow. That's all I gotta say. Somehow I'm not deducting a star though, because I don't think the camp grounds can help it - but just be aware!!! It's a beautiful place and I'd actually still choose to come back and camp again -but I'd be sure to bring headphones/ear plugs. ;)

Restaurant: We were lucky because we didn't have a reservation but I think we went early enough that we could get one of the free tables. That tends to happen when you hike for so long - you don't mind eating dinner at 5:30. The wait staff was quite nice and the beer was good. There was a mix-up with the order so we had to wait for 1 and a half hour for it to be corrected.

Our first order didn’t go through so the waitress gave us a new set of menus. The new menu had much limited options for dishes and missed the menus that we’ve ordered.

The food we got on the second order was decent but wasn’t great as the ones we have been having in Switzerland for past few days.

I understand the mix up can happen, but having to wait 1 and a half hour for food was not a good experience and affected our schedules later that afternoon.

We were offered complimentary drinks or coffees after the meal. All we wanted to do was get out and get going and had to refuse the offer.

All in all beer was good and maybe next time it might be better, but based on today’s experience, that might not happen.

Ich kann diesem Restaurant beim besten Willen nicht mehr wie 1 Stern geben. Der eine Stern ist dafür, dass das Essen eigentlich ganz in Ordnung war. Die Bedienung allerdings Katastrophe und enorm unprofessionell!! Wir sassen drinnen und haben das Geschwätze an der Kasse mitbekommen. Die Bedienung machte sich über einen Gast lustig weil die eine Frau ihnen zu sehr wie eine Barbie aussah. Immer wieder fielen Sprüche. Nun zu uns: Es war Nachmittag, also erhielten wir die Nachmittagskarte! Ich bestellte einen Salat, mein Freund ein Tatar. Die Bedienung schaute ihn verärgert an: “Wollen Sie wirklich Tatar? Ist das jetzt ihr Ernst?” Er antwortete ziemlich verwundert: “Ja bitte, es steht doch auf der Karte...” Sie lief verärgert zur Kasse, warf die Karte hin und tippte genervt... Was war denn das für eine Aktion? Wenn die am Nachmittag kein Tatar verkaufen wollen, warum stehts dann auf der Karte? Andere Gäste versuchten die unaufmerksame Bedienung mehrmals darauf hinzuweisen, dass sie zahlen möchten... Die Frau die uns bediente hatte einen leichten Akzent, also stamme wohl nicht aus der Schweiz. Die andere Bedienung, also diejenige die dauerlästerte war ebenfalls eine Frau und etwas älter. Sie sprach ein sauberes deutsch. Also keine Ahnung ob diese zwei Frauen öfters da arbeiten oder nur übergangsweise... Falls die da öfters arbeiten verwundert es mich, dass da überhaupt noch Gäste kommen...?! Nach dem Essen wollten wir einen Kaffee bestellen. Die Frauen waren aber mehr mit lästern über die Gäste beschäftigt wie auf die Gäste zu achten. Irgendwann sagte die ältere Frau der anderen: “Der Mann da schaut mich die ganze Zeit so komisch an, du musst da wohl mal vorbei schauen...” Natürlich so laut, dass wir es hörten!! Wollte die lieber dass wir schnippten oder was soll das?? Ja klar schauten wir dahin und versuchten denen zu verklickern, dass wir nach dem Essen gerne noch einen Kaffee haben möchten! Ist aber wohl auch völlig absurd so ein Wunsch...

Der Lungernsee und das paddeln auf dem Lungernsee waren wunderschön. Schade dass wir im Restaurant Obsee diese Erfahrung mit einer so unprofessionellen Bedienung...
