Gasthof Krone Blatten — Restaurant in Malters

Our stay was deeply disappointing. The room was nothing like the pictures online — it was bare, boring, and not even properly cleaned. For the amount of money we paid, we expected at least a comfortable, welcoming space. Instead, we got a noisy, empty room with none of the charm or amenities shown in the photos.||When we asked the staff why our bathroom looked nothing like the one advertised, the response was shockingly dismissive: “Well, not all the pictures are of the rooms. Some are of the restaurant. You don’t sleep there, do you?” We were flabbergasted by the tone and the attitude.||Later, when my partner inquired about breakfast options, the staff replied rudely and made no effort to help. At no point did we feel welcome or valued as guests.||The atmosphere throughout the property was cold and uninviting. Between the misleading advertising, unhelpful staff, and poor quality of the facilities, we would absolutely not recommend this...

We stopped here on our way back from Greece and found it most disappointing, I was expecting something a bit ‘cool/hip’ but the bedroom was just totally uninteresting and the bathroom downright awful! There were no proper curtains, just some rather grubby net curtains, the room was very hot and we couldn’t find any air conditioning control, so when we opened a window we ended up with lots of mosquitoes and bites! We stayed Saturday night and had dinner in the restaurant - we don’t speak much German, just English & French, and were told to use our phones to Google Translate the menu. Luckily the second waitress was far more helpful. Then on Sunday morning breakfast was just left for us on a plate in a fridge in a Seminar Room. For the price we paid it is not somewhere I would...
