I will be avoiding this place in future. Delivery review - Prawns not cooked. Very rude staff. Late delivery. Ordered prawn Tandoori and lamb Jalfreezi, amongst other things. Prawns were not cooked properly, some were half raw!! The rest of the food was nice, but nothing special. The food was late by about 45min. Normally I would be ok to tolerate these things because sometimes it does happen and, although unlucky, that's ok. I started to regret ordering from Crown of India when I phoned the restaurant up after waiting for 25min. The man was very rude to me and told me "ja ja - 5min, 5min" and while I'm talking hangs up the phone on me. I called him back 5min later to tell him that this was rude - plus the delivery is still not here. Again very rude and with no remorse, but agrees to phone his driver to find out where it is. Driver got lost trying to find our address, after extensive instructions and google maps.. Halfway through our meal we receive another phone call from the restaurant to accuse us and start an argument about how we don't know our address? Of course the employee refused to provide his name and was again extremely rude. No apologies for lateness or anything. Just accusations as if everything was our fault. And then hung up on me again. This was not my idea of a takeaway meal I had been looking forward to. Not good. Will not return...

We ordered a couple of starters and two mains (curries). The curries come with a huge pile of rice (3/4 of the dish) and the curry as a decorating side dish, as it seems. The starters were okay but as soon as we saw the rotten salad under all of our 5 starters packs (really rotten... Like mouldy rotten). We preferred to stop eating and use the bin. Made us wonder if they don't pay attention while packing the stuff, how may the kitchen work look like...
We were really keen to find a indian curry house in our neighbourhood. But well... Sorry that the quality...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but the Crown of India in Ebmatingen is a really wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend it. The food was absolutely delicious and freshly made according to our preferences (one of us didn't want spicy, one of us wanted extra spicy, one of us has a coriander aversion). The service was incredibly friendly as was the impeccable table setting. We were there for dinner so I can't comment on the lunch buffet which I want to try as soon as possible. All in all a lovely evening...
