Buvette de Jaman - Montreux — Restaurant in Montreux

We were doing a two day hike around the area and staying in a nearby refuge and we thought it will be good to hike to the Buvette for dinner. Unfortunately it started raining it was impossible to reach the Buvette. Geert from the Buvette actually called us to see if we were okay to tell us not to try and come as it could be dangerous before we could even try to call and cancel. However, the following morning we went for breakfast and were greeted by Geert and Conchita with big smiles. We felt very welcome and relaxed and it was such a good start to the day. We had Rösti for our breakfast and it was one of the best Rösti we've ever had in Switzerland. The view is fantastic, the service is friendly and fantastic. I wouldn’t give any star for the attitude. We didn’t bring the wallet for the hiking, after trying to pay with TWINT and transfer, nothing worked. I asked for tap water because we were dehydrated. Terrible service - didn’t even eat. Great location and beautiful view. We sat for an hour waiting for service. Waiter promised to come back and take our order - but after an hour the waiter came back and told us that they had forgotten us. Other waiters also saw us, but made no effort to come and see if we were okay. Left hungry, thirsty and unsatisfied. Rather carry on to Rochers de Naye or eat...
