A hidden gem! A small, casual restaurant right at the Aare River. Located in a nature reserve, the restaurant is best accessed on foot or ferry boat (there is also a small car parking lot nearby). Small but tasty selection of lunch, snack and dessert items. Great place for dogs and children: they have a 'dog bar' (with water bowls) and a playground. There are several vegetarian options. The staff was friendly and professional. A relaxing place to rest on your walk along the river.

very nice place to eat, indoor and outdoor, not fancy food but tasty, near Aare river and walking area, and a beach for swimming time, at 15min walk. Perfect for relaxing time, kid friendly with litlle kids area, in the heart of nature. Parking is free but only 5places, but up the hill is blue parking on streets in 30km/hour area.

Eine der am schönsten gelegenen Beizen in Bern. Wir haben das Plätschern & die Aussicht auf die Aare sehr genossen. Der Aperol & gespritzte Weisswein waren super lecker und erfrischen. Zudem konnten wir uns mit sehr feinem Essen stärken. Der lauwarme Ziegenkäse war das richtige für einen heissen Sommertag. Dank dem Pesto war das Gericht sehr leicht und erfrischen. Die Fischknusperli meines Freunds waren super knusprig, frisch und insbesondere aufgrund der lokalen Produktion in Rubigen den eher hohen Preis wert. Meine Pasta schmeckte super, sie war cremig und rassig (man kann bei Bedarf sicher nach mehr Champions fragen). Einfach herrlich. Der Schokoladenkuchen war super intensiv & nicht zu schwer, gleiches gilt für das Beerensorbet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hatte stets ein Lächeln auf dem Gesicht. Das Fähribeizli ist sehr empfehlenswert :)

Une vraie perle cachée ! ⭐️

Nous avons découvert le Fahribeizli complètement par hasard, lors d’une promenade improvisée par une belle journée ensoleillée, depuis la rive opposée de l’Aar. Comme quoi, « le hasard fait vraiment bien les choses » !

Pour rejoindre ce restaurant plein de charme, nous avons du embarquer sur le petite embarcation "Fähre Elfenau", une mini aventure qui a donné le sourire à toute la famille. Une fois à table, nous avons dégusté un hamburger généreux accompagné d’un excellent dessert maison et un tartare au cognac savoureux, une vraie réussite !

Quelques places de parc sont disponibles, mais la balade à pied vaut vraiment le détour. L'arrêt de bus vers Berne est à seulement 10 minutes à pied. À l’intérieur du restaurant, deux grandes terrasse, dont une couverte, une sympathique petite aire de jeux permet aux enfants de s'amuser sous l'œil attentif des parents, et les toilettes, impeccables, complètent parfaitement cette agréable expérience.

Le parque Parc zoologique Dählhölzli est à une petite 30aine de minute seulement.

At 11:00 am on a weekday, i wanted to stop quickly for a coffee, my baby had finally fell asleep and i could enjoy 10min sitting calm. I was rushed out with the excuse that the tables were all booked for lunch and even a coffee was out of question (?!) they wanted me to go to an other area but the stones on the floor would have woken up my baby.
