2023: We decided to give Landgasthof Adler another chance and this time the service was great again, the food was excellent. Glad to see that it's "back to normal". Back to 5 stars. Just the atmosphere needs a freshup. We will be back. :-)
2022: Unfortunately I need to revise my previous review which was a 5 star review. There are multiple things which became worse since I visited the first time. Let's start with the parking. There is now a new construction building, using up half of the parking spots previously available. This creates a chaotic parking environment. The drinks during apero were way oversugared. Both Aperol and Lillet just tasted like a sweet soda drink, nothing left of the taste of the original drink. Then we had a pretty bad experience with our waitress. She came very late to our table, excused herself that there were a lot of guests (only half the restaurant was occupied). We ordered the famous Cordon Bleu and especially noticed we want with Beef meat. It took over 30 minutes until we got our dinner. The Cordon Bleus were tasty, however we were pretty sure we got Pork instead of the ordered veal (looked like pork, tasted like pork). But of course we were billed for the beef (+10 chf surcharge). We also ordered a glass of wine with the meal, but got the wine 15 min later again. So we were really disappointed by our latest visit.

The atmosphere is super laid back and welcoming, with a beautiful garden terrace patio. The staff is on point with service, friendliness, and patience especially for someone who does not speak Swiss German. I have had the pleasure of trying several items on their menu. In my last visit I had the mixed green salad, shrimp appetizer, and for my main course, the Metti’s Cordon Bleu. Everything was so delicious! And not to forgot their great beer and wine selection. Die Gartenterrasse war fast voll. wir wurden umgehend freundlich empfangen und zu unserem Tisch gebracht. Kalbsplätzchen paniert, die Pannade war sehr salzig und scheint gewürzt oder eher "verwürzt" worden zu sein (evt gekauft)?. die Pommes waren leider eher labbrig und nicht knackig. Schade. die Portionen sind mittel-gross. Meine Begleitungen hatten Cordonbleu bestellt (Schwein). ich durfte probieren. Auch hier dünkte mich die Pannade eher salzig. die Spätzli waren eher fettig auch dieses scheinen gekauft zu sein. die Sauce Hollandaise war geschmacklos und fettig (meiner Ansicht nach). die Nachspeisen sind aus einer Standardkarte. nichts aussergewöhnliches.
