This place is amazing! First of all, it is amazingly beautiful. A green mountain valley with forests and small towns around it. The inn is a 200 year old farmhouse that Franco remodeled using found wood and local granite. Yes, it didn't have some of the amenities that a 5 star hotel would have in a city but the friendliness of Anita and Franco made up for that. Unfortunately there is no public transportation there. There's a nonprofit that helps to provide opportunities to people with developmental disabilities and there are real Swiss cows there! It is on bike trails and there are plenty of hiking trails around. It is very quiet. Anita is an amazing cook! I am not a fish eater but I was told the trout was exceptional. They have a fish tank in the basement. Although expensive, the food was outstanding. And we paid around the same amount at a restaurant in a nearby town so I think that's just Switzerland. The food was all lovingly cooked. I can't recommend this...

Den Landgasthof Roderis haben wir im Rahmen eines Familienausflugs kennen- und sofort liebengelernt. Wir haben insgesamt drei Zimmer gebucht. Die Gebäude des Gasthofs sind erst vor kurzer Zeit mit äusserster Sorgfalt und Passion vollständig renoviert und eingerichtet worden. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer und insbesondere der Badezimmer ist wirklich der Hammer. Wir haben herrlich geschlafen - notabene, da die Betten mit qualitativ hochstehenden Matrazen und Bettinhalten ausgestattet sind. Auch in kulinarischer Hinsicht sind wir verwöhnt worden; die Servicemitarbeitenden waren sehr umsichtig, das Essen - diesbezüglich wird erfreulicherweise grossen Wert darauf gelegt, dass es aus der Region stammt - sowie der Wein ausgesprochen lecker. Anlässlich des Frühstücks am Sonntagmorgen hat sich die Schreibende herausgenommen, den Patron anzusprechen; dieser und seine Lebensgefährtin haben sich, sehr zu unserer Freude, Zeit für ein Gespräch genommen und im Rahmen desselben haben wir etliche spannende Informationen, unter anderem zu den Gebäuden, erfahren. We spent a night in this cosy place after arriving from a 27km hike. Absolute treasure in the area! Beautiful, clean rooms with natural design, comfortable beds, delicious meals and most importantly, outstanding hospitality and kindness of the hosts!
