Booked this as a last minute option, as all the hotels in Lausanne were either full or extortionately priced for the particular night (as were most other hotels around the lake).||||I had low expectations, and this delivered accordingly. The rooms are EXTREMELY basic , but the bed was comfortable enough, and the shower had great pressure. You get what you pay for, is all I can say. ||The rooms are a row of pre-fab style rooms across the road from the restaurant, and just off the street (which is a through road) , so expect traffic noise. No aircon, no working internet (wifi was working, but no internet connection). Room 5 was a little musty and smelled of fresh paint. ||||The bonus is that the restaurant is really good, and has a lovely outlook over the grass airfield. ||||If you're flying in with you Cessna, and want a great meal and place to stay overnight, then this is the place. If you want a good meal, with some wine, and don't want to risk driving afterwards, then again, this works. The stay at this hotel was nothing special at all. We didn't get the two beds we booked and had confirmed, we only had one bath towel even after requesting a second, no shower gel, just nothing. And when we told them that we had to leave before breakfast, again no creative offer. Upon checking out they were only worried that we have paid, no other questions, no charm. Instead letting us wait outside the locked door not telling us that the other person waiting outside actually works there. And there was a very bad smell in the restaurant in the morning, so we were quite happy to skip their breakfast. At least if you come by car, there's loads of...
