This hotel was on our route as we headed back home from our summer road trip. We decided to spend one night. It is a kid oriented hotel, so everything is focused on that, which is fine. The playground is very nice and our kids enjoyed it a lot. The rooms were clean which is also a plus. On the negative side, although the room is marketed as “mountain view” is basically a highway view. Sure the mountain is off on the far left side, but unless you’re sticking your head out the window, all you see (and hear) are cars. The service at the hotel also seemed a bit lost. You receive many blank stares when you try to communicate in English. At the restaurant we asked for a bottle of water and a couple of beers, which didn’t arrive for 30 mins. When requested again, the reply from the waitress was “sorry, but I’m not the one making the drinks”. She is the one serving them however and with a little care would have noticed that our starters arrived and we had no drinks for us and our kids. Also, when we asked for a drinks menu, we were told that there isn’t one. I never expected that a 1lt bottle of water could cost €10! So be prepared. On this subject, the food prices are ridiculous. €30 for a plate of frozen French fries and 6 pieces of fried chicken. €40 for filet of salmon, which unfortunately was inedible. It stank of old fish, either because it wasn’t fresh, or because the oil used to fry is was old. At least the salads that came with the fish were good. The baby menu (boiled vegetables) was also good so our 1 year old ate well at least. Of course nobody cared to ask if everything was ok. Not even when they noticed a plate of €40 salmon only had one bite missing. It was nice that they provide you with free milk to fill a baby bottle. In conclusion, this place is fine for one night if it’s on your route elsewhere. Perhaps the prices are correct for the area, but the lack of food and service quality make them feel...
Read moreA brutally honest review, from a 16 year old.
Hello everyone, i am glad you are reading this. Let's start with the restaurant. I had a good look at the menu, why are all the dishes with asparagus? I'm highly allergic to asparagus. Also, a simple small bowl of fries with tiny chicken nuggets is not worth €25.( for the average family that is NOT affordable! ) As i am not a "child" no more, why did i get served a plastic cup made for small children? Do the servers have no respect for their customers? And now, the hotel: The whole room is stinking dirty, dirty windows, dirty floor, it stank really bad. The beds are harder than the floor, these beds were also meant for small children. Not for a 1.85cm 16 year old, i fell out of the bed... twice! There is no shower, only a dirty bathtub. The sound insulation of my room was simply terrible, i could hear cars at night, crying baby's, people that were doing "it". Mind you, i'm on the top floor! Near one of the corners of the hotel room it smelled like dead mice. The is terrible light in the room. There is no small fridge to get some drinks out of. The Wi-Fi is awfully slow. My bed didn't even have a real mattres, just 2 cushions with a cover over them. Simply put: do not make the same mistake i made. Do not sleep here. It is expensive, the hotel rooms are dirty, the noise is awfull. Save your money and go somewhere else! Kind regards,
Only things i liked were the staff, the breakfast, the big room, the view, and that there is a big park for children.
Samuel.

Read moreFor starters my room was clean. Basic but comfortable.
Reasonable quality food, although not cheap. Same limited restaurant menu Monday to Saturday, nothing spicy. Note! (No restaurant service after 18:00 on Sunday)
Surcharged to have a mountain view, if I stood on the balcony and hung over looking to the right I could see the mountains, otherwise I was overlooking the children’s play area.....
Room 16 is on the 1st floor, so sounds from reception area carry up the open staircase resonating along the room walls, as do the foot steps and conversation as people walk the stairs and landings to get to their room’s. I had to wear earplugs to get to sleep.
Service is exceptional especially from the waitresses and reception staff.
Very busy on the weekend with lots and lots of screaming children, this continued to be busy during the week even after work. Bear this in mind if you have to carry on with your work and you are easily distracted by noise.
The room attendant/service removed my towels daily from the rail, ( considering the environment, I was happy to reuse them but they were never replaced).
Breakfast is typically continental, cold meat/ cheese and bread, cereal and coffee. There’s also an option for boiled eggs either soft or hard ( soft in Switzerland is like an oyster).
Parking is available on site which is free for guests but given the number of parents who bring their children here, I’d imagine it’s difficult to park in the...
