La Givrine — Restaurant in Saint-Cergue

Very bad experience! We were two families with childre, 7 in total, this afternoon. They made us wait until a table was supposed to be freed so we could sit there. We waited for a tital of 1hour 20min!! after having asked several times about the table and suggesting also they could put together 2 tables. It was clear they did not have any intention to serve us, even when a table was cleared and they didn't clean it up for us. which I find very disrespectful. In the meanwhile, while waiting, they were other people with no rearvation who were served . At the end we left having drunk only beverages and still...

Last Sunday, July 7th, we called our fave alpine resto Pré-aux-Veaux to reserve a table for 2. We were told that they acquired too this bigger place, now called La Givrine Bar-Resto. It’s near the train station. We came by and was happy to see the same old Pré-aux-Veaux friendly staff, awesome food and same excellent service! Sooo happy to see the transformation from hotel (2yrs ago we booked this then old hotel for 1night after our hike) to bar/resto! The toilets are super clean! I hope they will serve my all time favorite rosti...

As usual, dirty, dirty, dirty...nobody cleans the tables, food everywhere on the floor under tables. Childrens' chairs not cleaned up after use. Only the apple pie looks fresh, the rest look one or two days old. Understaffed, only two people for the whole place, long lines...what more should I say?
