📍 Café du Raisin @ Saint‑Saphorin, Lavaux, Switzerland Dinner with a view — Local fish dishes and vineyard charm

We had dinner at Café du Raisin in the heart of Saint‑Saphorin, a stunning little village surrounded by Lavaux’s terraced vineyards. The restaurant’s first-floor terrace overlooks Lake Geneva, and during sunset, it’s absolutely magical.

The star of the meal was undoubtedly the fish dishes—especially the Lake Geneva perch fillets. Perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of fresh flavor, it was one of the best meals we had on our Lavaux trip. Paired with a chilled glass of local white wine, it was a true Swiss dining experience.

The ambiance was warm and relaxing, with friendly staff and a cozy interior if you prefer indoor seating.

🧭 Tips: • Reserve in advance for dinner, especially if you want a terrace seat. • Don’t miss the perch fillet—it’s their signature. • Great stop after a day of hiking through...

The view is amazing and the food is ok, although overpriced even for Swiss standards. I'm leaving one star because I was shocked to see the owner screaming STOOOOOOP at the top of her lungs at a poor 1.5 year old at another table that has been crying for a few minutes, visibly overtired (a kid just being a kid), while her parents were trying to soothe her. She even looked at the other tables to try to get support from other guests, who were just shocked and embarrassed at the situation. Do not come here if you have kids, but I would encourage even adults not to support such a terrible person. There are so many better places with similar views, better quality/price and especially more decent owners in the...

Cute little restaurant by the Saint Sephorin Vineyards. The chef was a nice Thai lady who was so happy to speak to us about her life & advice on where to go in the town. We ordered the Thai curry, pike fillet fish & fried noodles. All were okay and enjoyable.

This cafe is under new management since January. The new “gerants” are siblings and they run a very tight ship. Some of the best filets de perches I’ve had in a decade. The view is also absurdly nice!
