After 33 years, we were finally able to return to one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. Up the mountain, along a thrilling windy road, through the woods, to a little farm outside of St. Croix , is a little bit of heaven. A farm that started making Cheese Beignets years ago, that has evolved into a wonderful little chalet café. You are immersed in a warm, cozy, relaxing environment, surrounded by the farm and filled with authentic Swiss cow bells. The Cheese Beignets are hot, light, and amazingly full of flavor. They serve you until you can't eat anymore. I had a nice amber Swiss beer and my wife had local red wine. And don't miss the short hike up the rest of the hill where a viewpoint is perched on a cliff overlooking the Swiss countryside, including Lake Neuchatel and Lake...

We were greeted by a very friendly staff. Luckily we arrived early and were able to eat before the restaurant was entirely booked for the evening. A reservation for dinner is required as the restaurant is completely booked every evening. The restaurant is famous for its cheese beignets, which we did not try. After a beautiful hike from Sainte-Croix we wanted a fondue. The fondue was too mild for our taste and lacked garlic, nutmeg and kirsch. Prices...

Accueil catastrophique!! Vous avons marché avec un ami jusqu'au sommet du Mont-de-Baulmes et nous nous sommes assis dans ce qui ressemblait à une zone de pic nic et qui se trouvait dans l'enceinte de ce restaurant. En toute honnêteté nous ne pensions pas que cette zone appartenait aussi au restaurant car les bancs ressemblaient aux bancs des zones de pic nic de forêt (alors que il y avait d'autres types de chaises et de tables près du restaurant). Notre idée était de manger le sandwich que nous avions amené et de boire ensuite quelque chose. Or, alors que la terrasse était presque déserte, une employée ou la patronne, nous est tombée dessus en nous expliquant de la manière la plus désagréable que nous n'avions pas à être là que c'était son restaurant et qu'il fallait consommer. Nous nous sommes platement excusés et avons été terminer notre sandwich sur une souche d'arbre sur un champ à côté. Mais sérieusement?! Comment peut-on avoir un sens du service aussi médiocre, le restaurant était plus qu'à moitié vide et nous étions prêts à consommer quelque chose fallait-il vraiment nous chasser au lieu de nous rappeler les règles et de nous proposer quelque chose à boire. Je ne comprends pas comment des gens aussi sauvages peuvent se lancer dans la restauration. Chers promeneurs amenez avec vous votre pic nic et évitez cet endroit à tout prix, votre promenade n'en sera que bien...

Tres bonne adresse nichée au sommet du Mont de Baulmes.Pour le choix de la carte nous avons opté pour les fameux beignets au fromage à volonté ou pour les petits appétit, il faut mieux opter pour la formule de deux beignets, accompagnés d’une excellente salade avec sa sauce maison et ce fut délicieux, l’assiette de charcuteries en apéro était de qualité tout comme les desserts tartelettes citrons et aussi de délicieuses meringues et la crème de gruyère . Le personnel très sympathique et très accueillant. Top top top! Une adresse à retenir et à revenir, mais je vous conseille vivement la réservation car souvent complet.
