The Sour Bro Bakery on the Sattel is a tiny micro-bakery run by Adam, a former teacher who taught himself the art of baking and now produces some of the best artisanal bread in the area. The space itself is no more than 20 or 30 square meters, and he sells directly from a small window. I arrived early on a Tuesday at 9:30 am and even then, the shelves were nearly empty—he on some days sells out by 9:30 or 10, with a line forming quickly. That alone says a lot. His selection is small but perfectly executed, with each loaf baked fresh in the morning. Adam uses only regional ingredients, avoids butter and additives, and bakes entirely vegan sourdough. His sourdough starter, or “mother,” is 22 years old, giving the bread exceptional depth of flavor. He also supplies local cafés and restaurants, so you might come across his creations even if you miss out at the bakery. Even better: he might soon expand to nearby towns. Price wise i think for the quality you receive its totally worth it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Bread Ever!! A Must-Visit Bakery! & Vegan! This is hands down the best bread I’ve ever had… and I’ve tried bread all over the world! We picked up three different types, and each one was still warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and care in every bite. Adam, the baker, is an absolute gem. He spoke English fluently, was incredibly friendly, and we had such a lovely conversation with him. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does, and it shows—not just in the bread, but in the steady stream of regulars who clearly adore him and his work. This stop was a true highlight and the perfect way to end our trip. If I could’ve stuffed my suitcase full of his bread, I would have. Do not miss this place!! You’ll remember it long after your visit. I wish I would’ve had more pictures of the shop and bread!

The sample we got when we paid for our loaf was top notch, but when we came back after the hike for pickup someone had taken our bread! So to the egoistic @$$hole, at least go back and pay for it! Who steals from a small local bakery anyway?! We'll be back!

The owner/baker is a true craftsman and it shows. You can taste and feel that the person who baked your bread has a passion for what they’re doing. Don’t miss out on this place if you’re anywhere near the area. Not only will you get to chat it up with the owner, you’ll also get to meet a few locals if you’re into that sorta thing. Amazing bread amazing service, definitely a...
