A 5-star review is so well deserved for the team at Blüemlisberg and the location is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for having us!

We celebrated a birthday with friends & family at Blüemlisberg with about 40 guests and kids of all ages. Very lovely welcome by Lena and the team. The location was nicely decorated, bright and cozy.

The brunch we had was amazing with so many delicacies: fresh bread, local cheese, cold cuts, Swiss braided bread, jam, honey, scrambled eggs, sausages, Swiss “Rösti” (fried grated potatoes), fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, tea, coffee, orange juice, really everything you wish for. And it was all nicely arranged and local products, I really appreciate that.

The team also helped with parking and since it was snowing on that day they took extra care that the road was clear and everyone arrived safely. So attentive — thank you.

The best surprise was the “Samichlaus” visiting the farm house and all of the kids (as well as adults) were invited to join the storytelling happening in the goat stable, with goats and dogs and cats it was a very authentic atmosphere.

We have lovely memories of our stay at Blüemlisberg and will surely drop by there again, next time when hiking in the area, which is also really beautiful.

On our last snowshoe hike in the mountains of the canton of Schwyz we stumbled upon this newly opened treasure of a café. They mainly sell products made out of goat milk, first of all delicious ice cream. What a delight! The very friendly owners are passionate about what they are making and selling; they let you try the different flavours of ice cream and they even show their goats to the interested visitor. A plus for tourists is that they speak English too. It won't be the last time that I stop here for a coffee, or even better a hot apple punch in winter; and a treat of ice...

Wir waren am 1. August zum Brunch am Blüemlisberg. Die Location ist wirklich sehr schön. Allerdings sind wir der Meinung, dass man sich beim Umfang des Brunches etwas übernommen hat. Man sagte uns, dass 400 Personen reserviert sind, einige Reservierungen waren jedoch gar nicht auf der Liste, das heisst, es waren noch mehr Leute vor Ort. Die Sitzplätze waren dann schon ziemlich eng bemessen, wenn man nicht bereits um 9 Uhr vor Ort war. Denn die Plätze waren nicht reserviert, man musste sich selber Platz suchen, was bei mehren Personen dann schon schwierig wurde.

Das Buffet war unserer Meinung eher ein Frühstücksbuffet, kein Brunch. Bereits um 10.30 Uhr als wir ankamen gab es kein Birchermuesli mehr, wurde auch nicht aufgefüllt, da es leer war (wir hatten nachgefragt). Ein bunte Palette aus Gemüse und Obst gab es nicht. Der Ziegenkäse war auch leer, gab es keinen mehr. Das "Rührei" war kalt und hart. Dessertbuffet haben wir auch nirgends entdeckt. Zudem finde ich sehr schade, dass der Kaffee aus Thermoskannen kam und aus Pappbechern getrunken werden musste.

Die Käse und Fleischplatten waren fein, die Qualität stimmte hier absolut, das möchte ich auch unbedingt erwähnen.

Aber im Grossen und Ganzen muss ich sagen, stimmte Preis/Leistung mit CHF 48.00 / Person nicht. Wir hatten uns auf einen gemütlichen Brunch mit Freunden auf einem Hof gefreut, leider war es dann eher eine kleine...
