Zwyssighaus — Restaurant in Seedorf (UR)

The surroundings were exceptionally beautiful. The room was immaculately clean, and the staff was incredibly kind. After a long day of walking, we stayed there for one night. There are four rooms in total, and due to the wooden structure of the house, you can hear some noise from others. However, the other guests were very respectful, and we experienced minimal disturbance, allowing us to sleep very well.

While the restaurant offered delicious food, we found it to be a bit pricey considering the portion sizes. Additionally, the breakfast was quite minimalist, lacking a buffet spread. Although the ingredients were fresh and delicious, we were not offered additional bread or jam, and the portion of jam provided was very small. In fact, we ended up paying more for dinner than we did for our overnight stay at the hotel.

Absolutely the best dining experience of my life! From the first smile to our last plate, I felt nothing but welcome and appreciated. My girlfriend and I decided to take a last minute trip to Munich last week. We have never been to Switzerland before, so found this cute town, Bauen. Most beautiful town, and the restaurant was just icing on the top.

Amazing Wine selection, meal was very well priced for the experience. My German is on the weaker side and I let them know in advance. Without hesitation they switched to English however still let me order and respond in German without making me feel like I was troubling them.

Ich war nun zum 3. Mal in diesem Restaurant. Aber wohl zum letzten mal. Das erste mal vor 5 Jahren war die Küche noch excellent und auf hohem Niveau. Vor 2 Jahren blieb nur die Wartezeit von über einer Stunde auf den Hsuptgang in Erinnerung. Beim nun wahrscheinlich letzten Mall , viel zuerst die sehr übersichtliche, das heisst sehr sehr bescheidene Auswahl von Speisen auf. Die ist nicht mit mehr mit dem frische Gebot zu rechtfertigen. Das Amuse Bouche hatte das Format einer Briefmarke, mit undefinierbaren Geschmack, aber auf uf eine Atrappe kann ich gerne verzichten.Das Erdbeeren Gaspacho war ein im Teller serviertes Erdbeer Smothie mit 2 Minzeblättchen...ohne jegliche andere Geschmacksnoten, ausser Erdbeere und eben Minze. Der Hauptgang, Fisch nach Tagesangebot bestand aus 2 Stücken Forellenfilet 3x3 cm , begleitet von dem gleichen undefinierbardn braunen Schaumflecken des Amuse Bouche, und ein paar Peperonistreifen. Gutes Mittelmaß im Geschmack aber nicht zu vergleichen zu früher. Das Dessert 8 Blaubeeren mit einer Kugel Blaubeeren Eis und Merengue Brosmeli war gut,aber von kreativ weit entfernt. Sorry, nur für die schöne Aussicht und eine Vorspeisenportion als Hauptgang von noch nur mittelmäßiger Qualität (Forelle) sind die Preise völlig unverhätnissmässig hoch. Nicht ohne Grund war das Restaurant auch nicht mehr voll besetzt....Schade das das Restaurant nun zu einem Kettenrestaurant...
