Must stop if you are hiking between Gruben and St Niklaus. We stopped here for lunch while waiting for the cable car to take us down to St Niklaus after coming over to the Augstbordpass. We all got Rosti, tasty and high in calories - just what we needed. The views from the restaurant and the meadow by the cable car station are...

We were kindly welcomed without reservation. We went here before a hike to St. Niklaus, we got enough food here so that we would no go hungry during our 2 hour hike. Do not expect a culinary masterclass, do expect real Swiss food that sustains you!

They charge CHF 4 for 0.5 liter carafe of their "filtered water". That is beyond ridiculous and they clearly have no shame. That's more than what Cabane de Moiry charge for their boiled water which is boiled using gas that is flown in...

War mit den JahrgĂ€ngern von Brig Glis zum ersten Ausflug hier oben gelandet. Alleine die Gondelfahrt war ein Erlebniss, bis unsere Gruppe oben war verging einige Zeit...Atemberaubende Fahrt auf den Berg. Leider war das Wetter alles andere als beautiful.Von einem Einheimischen wurden einem die Sagen und Geschichten die der mĂŒstische Ort hergab erzĂ€hlt. Kurze und knackige Wanderung zum Restaurant Jungeralp. Das Restaurant ist an einem kleinen Bergsee gelegen. Schlne Terasse mit super Weitblick wenn das Wetter das zugelasden hĂ€tte! Werde wieder kommen aber dann bei wunderbarem Wetter. Das Essen war sehr gut und es gab von allem Genug.

Sehr schön gelegene Alp. Rundherum eine grossartige Arena mit den höchsten Bergen der Schweiz im Hintergrund, Schrunden und bewaldete Höhen mehr im Vordergrund. Der Blick ins Mattertal beginnend bei St. Nicklaus und endend bei Randa. Oder hinĂŒber auf die andere Talseite nach GrĂ€chen. Absolut fantastisch! Die Alp selber ist auch ein Bijou. Ein kleines Bergseelein prĂ€gt die Szenerie. Picknicker finden eine Feuerstelle und einen Tisch mit BĂ€nken vor. Wer es lieber bedient mag - es gibt ein nettes Restaurant mit Gartenterrasse. Da gibt es von GetrĂ€nken bis zu einfachen Mahlzeiten und das bei grandioser Aussicht!
