A lovely restaurant with friendly staff. In a great location with amazing views down the valley. The food was delicious and very filling. The Rösti, Speck, Schinken, Käse und Ei is one of the best in this area. There are lots of Swiss classics on the menu. Worth booking in advance if you are in a large group. The day menu is good value and worth trying.

Das Restaurant Chemistube ist ein wunderbarer Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Wenn es im Unterland hohe Temperaturen hat, kann man in der Höhe sehr angenehe Frische erleben ohne zu frieren. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön und das Restaurant urchig, gemütlich und gepflegt. Das Personal und Wirt sind ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Essen schmeckte uns sehr! Mitten im Nachmittag erhielten wir sogar warme Küche. Wo findet man ein solcher Service noch?! Wir haben es sehr genossen und ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen! Der Weg von Bern ist etwas lang aber durch das schöne Simmental mit seinen schönen Chalets macht den Weg zum Erlebnis.

Hatte ein (echtes) Wienerschnitzel mit Gemüse und Pommes für 42 CHF. Das war (leider) das schlechteste Wiener, das ich je hatte. Zäh und verbrannt war es auch noch. Ich frag mich da schon, was man da viel falsch machen kann, zumal bei meiner Ankunft echt nicht viel los war … ich kenne die Schweizer Preise und das ist für ein Kalbschnitzel im Skigebiet gerechtfertigt, aber das Gericht war mangelhaft … tut mir Leid! Bedienung war im Übrigen sehr freundlich.

We ate here on Saturday sitting on the terrace in the sun. Charming waiter. Had the pork chop with vegetables and chips. Frankly the best chop I have had, awesome. The vegetable selection is amazing, around 10 different types arranged artfully on the plate. Lovely glass of pinot noir. So good in fact we returned the next day to try the beef! Entecote with vegetables and chips with more pinot noir. We were not disappointed. This place has very high culinary standards and would definitely recommend and hopefully will return next...

Had a memorable night at Chemistube! Locally sourced food 👍 the pumpkin soup and wienerschnitzel and rösti were all excellent. Dessert was a homemade layered ice cream cake 👌Warm and friendly service - our server showed us the ropes and the chef came to wish us a happy new year AND played us the saw. Well worth the trip up the mountain from Stöckli. Merci vielmal! Looking forward to...
