This is one of the rare occasions I wish I could give a business more than 5 stars. While in Zürich, we were looking for a good option for something more "local" and really stumbled across Pöstli so we decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. When we walked in, it was clearly apparent that the locals dine here (always a good sign). The smell is very obviously home cooking. Our hostess (who was amazing by the way) seated us and brought out placemats and menus right away. There were multiple options that sounded great, but we both decided to go with the pork cordon bleu (I opted for "Hawaiian" with a pineapple ring, and my bride did the original). Our dinner started with a salad that had absolutely amazing dressing. It was followed by an incredibly generous portion of both entree and fries. Even being very hungry, we were only able to finish about half. Unfortunately, we fly home in the morning (and there's no fridge in our room), otherwise we would have happily taken the leftovers back. Great staff, absolutely incredible food, and fun atmosphere. Read moreI wanted to try the specialty in this quaint town and I was recommended the local red wine in Stadel, paired with Horse Stroganoff. The sauce was just super yummy! I also asked for unsalted fries so I could give my dog some and they did it. Bonus part is that the owner is a Filipina-Swiss so the experience feels half-close to home. I didn’t have any Swiss Francs with me so they accepted my Euros.
