We were on our long drive back from Italy to Germany and, having called 30 minutes earlier, we stopped off here for a late dinner. We were pleased that their kitchen was still open as it was well after 21:00 and that they were tolerant of our bringing our two dogs into the restaurant. The location of this establishment is perfect for travelers like us. It is just off the A2 and has a big, free car park. On settling down at our table we ordered our drinks and then perused the extensive menu. I settled for a large mug of draft Eichhof beer, veal liver and a large rösti. Delicious. We were very well served by a young lady from Hungary and a vivacious man, both of whom seemed genuinely interested in ensuring that we enjoyed our stay with them. Towards the end I moved to another part of the restaurant to drink my espresso coffee and watch the final few minutes of an important soccer game. By the way, this place isn't cheap. We left 135CHF (including tip) for a dinner for 4 people! Anyway, we were so happy to have found this place and we could take that essential break before continuing our journey up to Germany.

Stopped here upon arrival in Switzerland. We did not know where to go but happened across this country side restaurant. Our server did not speak much English but was very patient with us. We had to use our Google translator to figure out what to order because there was not an English menu. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. This is a good stop for a great meal! I wish I would have taken a picture of the menu because I cannot tell you what these were called. The first one was ham egg and Swiss cheese over toast, the second one was a pork schnitzel and the third one was their version of chicken nuggets.

Service was very friendly, clean, and cozy environment. The food was good, had the fondue, soups, cannelloni, and vegetarian crepe with Thai curry. My family is mostly vegetarian, and they had great options for both meat and non meat eaters. There are not many vegan options due to dairy being in a lot of vegetarian foods. We were very excited to see so many vegetarian options, including seasonal offerings.

Mediocre food, terrible service. We stopped by for dinner and waited a long time before anyone even stopped by to take our order. At one point our waiter just walked by and snatched my menu, without even asking if I was done making a decision, and then just walked off and gave the menu to someone else. He did not say one word to us. From the start the waiter acted as though he was fed up. When he eventually came back, we asked if there was a drink menu to switch he just replied a ride “no” (no further information) and when we asked what the drink options were and he again provided no information. We placed our drink orders and one person in our group asked for a lemonade. When he came back with drinks he just handed her a random drink and claimed it was a lemonade. It was definitly not lemonade (he could have just said they don’t have this drink and offered something else rather than just serving her whatever he wanted). He also spilled part of my wine while handing out the drinks, but again didn’t acknowledge this and didn’t bother to wipe the table. Really couldn’t be bothered over all. It was then another long period before anyone came by to take our food order. Our table was the only one that didn’t receive a bread basket even after we asked. No one ever came by to ask about drink refills. Once we were done eating we waited another half hour at the very least trying to order dessert and then decided it was not worth it. We continued on to another location for drinks and dessert. It’s really a shame because we live nearby but we will not be returning. The food is overpriced for what is offered and the...

This is my lastest visit to this restaurant, I was there for almost 10 years and was always happy, but this time was unbelievable, the Service lady with short blonde Hair was so Rude to us, we are 8 people with 3 children. She was discriminating to Asian people, firstly she wrote down the wrong order, it happens not a big deal, but then she came while rolling her eyes and showed her hatred towards me. The hot stone plates were cold, and when I tried to tell her but she just ran away, finally my husband had to took the plates himself to kitchen to ask for new hot stones. At the end, my friend was just asking her if we can make an order for dessert while she was cleaning up the table, she was just rolling her eyes again and say “ No Not now “ We are understand sometime businesses get busy and people can’t control their emotion but we are customers, you need to at least speak in a polite way. We came to enjoy a nice meal with friends not to get disappointed and disrespected. In the end, we still decided to leave her some tips however, not due to the service but because it’s new year. And lastly, if the short blonde hair lady can read this, we hope you can change your attitude towards customers. This will be...
