Gasthaus zur Kraftquelle — Restaurant in Stocken-Höfen

This is probably one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The owner was super kind from the very beginning – even though we arrived late and the place was quite full, he still let us pitch our tent. We were planning to stay just one night, but we ended up staying three.

It has everything you could need from a campsite, but with the peace and quiet of not being a campsite. It’s in a rural area, only about 20 minutes from a supermarket, and it’s incredibly quiet at night. The only thing that might wake you up are the cows, but otherwise, it’s very peaceful.

There’s unlimited hot water in the shower, which was perfect after long days of hiking, even in the rain. The bathroom and the facilities are super clean, and there is also a tap for drinking water. You can get WiFi near the registration area, which was really handy for checking weather and routes.

Payment is cash only, but they kindly accepted euros since we didn’t have any Swiss francs, which we really appreciated. One day it rained a lot, but we could take shelter under a tree or in the small covered area where you can wash your dishes, so it wasn’t a problem.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here. It’s a peaceful, clean, and welcoming place that made us feel at home, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet spot to rest while...

Ich war mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs, da ich hier Nicht weit von diesem Ort entfernt, vielleicht eine minute mit dem fahrrad, die Schweizmobile Route "Moränenseeroute 360" am fahren bin.

Auch an fahrradfahren wurde gedacht, denn man weiss gleich wo man es hinstellen kann wenn man ankommt.

Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall einen Abstecher hierhin zu machen. Freundliche Gastgeberin schönes Ambiente, und das Glace mit Fruchtstücken ( Mango, Erdbeeren und nektarine) und Rahm war erfrischend gut. Ein spezielles Bier aus der Region hat mir auch geschmeckt.

Eine grosse Linde bietet draussen beim sitzen viel Schatten.

Die Gastgeberin war freundlich, wirkte authentisch, entspannt und zeigte Freude an dem, was sie tat. Essen war hervorragend, Portionsgrösse, Kreativität und Vielfalt auf dem Teller war ein voller Treffer. Heimelige Atmosphäre, schöner Garten mit eigenem Gemüse und Kräutern. Malerische Umgebung auf dem Land, wo man gerne verweilt. Wir haben das Bargeld vergessen, war aber mit twint dann auch möglich. Erwünscht ist Barzahlung. Originelle Räumlichkeiten, auch die Toilette.
