My family and I have been living in Switzerland since 2014, so we are far from ignorant tourists. Our recent experience at this establishment was nothing short of appalling, primarily due to the disgraceful behavior of the hostess/waitress with short blonde hair.

Upon arrival, we inquired about the menu and food options. She curtly informed us that only tea and coffee were available but mentioned a breakfast buffet inside. Based on the pictures we had seen, we expected a variety of hot food. Instead, we found a meager selection of cold cuts and bread. Spotting the gipfeli (Swiss croissants), which were the only appealing items, we decided to order them with some coffee.

When we asked her about the gipfeli, she rudely insisted that we could have them individually or as part of the buffet, clearly pushing us to choose the overpriced 18CHF per person buffet. Not being interested in the rest of the buffet, we opted to order just the gipfeli. Her response? She got VERY rude, snapped that she would take our orders at the table, and then proceeded to berate us for "wasting her time." She even made disparaging remarks insinuating that we couldn’t afford the buffet and harassed my younger siblings for not ordering anything substantial.

This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. We felt humiliated and unwelcome. If you value courteous service and a pleasant dining experience, avoid this place at all costs. The attitude of that particular staff member is disgustingly horrible. Save yourself the trouble and grab some snacks from the kiosk, which is run by the...

Of all the stays I had in Switzerland, I felt most welcomed and appreciated here. Honestly, the hospitality was second to none and so so genuine!

Check-in was a breeze, even though I was slightly ahead of schedule and arrived during the lunch rush (sorry!).

I had a burger and chips for lunch in the restaurant - delicious! Dinner I had Rehgeschnetzeltes - also absolutely divine and highly recommend. Breakfast was delicious and even had the owner say good morning and check how my sleep was.

The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. There was a little noise from other guests children slamming doors, but that happens anywhere and really wasn't an issue. There was absolutely no road or other outside noises - very quiet throughout the night.

If I'm ever in the area again, I'll most definitely be...

We had 9 people in two families staying in 4 rooms at this very comfortable hotel about 5 mins’ drive from the small ski resort of Splügen where we were skiing for a couple of days before New Year. ||||The rooms had lovely fresh linen, warm duvets and plentiful and powerful hot water in the showers. WiFi was free and worked. Lots of parking. Indoor storage for ski gear. We all ate a hearty and tasty dinner - giant pasta portions for the kids. ||||The breakfast buffet was also well equipped - nice meats and cheeses, delicious bread and so on. ||||Finally and most importantly the people running the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. ||||All in all perfect for what we were seeking and...

Nicely located hotel with perfect reachability and more than enough space for parking. Very tasty local food is being served which is worth it's prize. The owners will try to help with everything one might think of. The rooms are very clean and kept in classic local matter. Yes, the hotel is located right next to a highway and a gas station but guests will not take notice of that at all.
