This nostalgic Swiss farm restaurant located inside a folk museum is an excellent choice if you want to experience the special dining of the Swiss mountain people decades ago (perhaps a hundred years ago). The restaurant is located inside a folk museum which is situated on a small hill with a panoramic view to the surrounding mountains. The restaurant paid a lot of attention to not only the menu but also every single detail of the interior. We really seem to take a time machine back to decades ago.

Wow! What a fun place to have lunch. Not only was the food just fantastic. Simple Swiss and Tasty. But the whole vibe of the place with the funny jokes the waiters make the whole place is an experience. A soup is offered to anyone who eats at the restaurant and the choices of courses to have after were really great. i had the Kalbshackbraten and then the famous Appenzeller Schlorzifladen. Great for families with kids. You can easily spend three hours here. There are animals and a lot of things to play with outside (playground, large lego bricks, bagger, electric cars, trampoline, etc.).
