Pic Thai — Restaurant in Uetikon am See

Ordered for delivery, the order was accepted and given an estimated 45min delivery time. After 50 minutes I got a text message on my phone that our food is not ready yet. I asked how long it will take, and was told that it would be another 45min. When I complained about this the person told me that he is not part of the restaurant, he is just the driver. Had the driver not informed us about the delay we would have gotten no notification. I called the restaurant to ask if I could pick up the food myself since I had 2 hungry guests at home hoping it will speed things up. He said they had not started making it yet.

I should have looked at the replies this restaurant wrote to other reviews before ordering here. so you learn:) Excuses like being a small business, have few staff, using fresh food is no excuse for constant delivery time over promising or not letting customers know about delays, or not at least apologizing

1. I was never told. I discovered this only after I called you, when it was already past the delivery time, that you have not even started with the food.

I have often seen restaurants change the expected delivery, or stop accepting take aways even when they are too busy. Little thai restaurant with a small terasse. Food was a very basic. Lacks a feeling of love for gastronomy. A very common approach to thai cooking. Thai cooking is full of contrast, flavor and different textures make some of the best dishes on the planet. Unfortunately I did not find that there. Both dishes were experienced as basic. No great flavoring no depth or great textures :(. Rice was overcooked. Service not excellent. Long waits and no questions about the dining experience and offers/suggestions for drinks etc.. considering the restaurant was empty with only take away guests. Better options are available. Would not recommend this restaurant. Plus food was served for a table of two around 10 minutes apart....Not forgetting the invasion of flies of the terasse did not help the...

Pic Thai used to be one of the very best Thai restaurants in the area. Since Pic Thai has been handed over from mother to Leila …. The service is appealing. You are guaranteed to wait over an hour for any online order and as was our experience today … half the order was missing.
