What a disappointment. We (6p) had made a reservation 3 weeks earlier for the 14:00 shift, confirmed and reconfirmed on the same day. We were well on time (1:30 PM) but the waitress asked us to wait until a table became available. Meanwhile, the queue of new guests got longer and longer, but everyone got a table except us. Once again told the waitress that we were still waiting while others were being seated, we unfortunately had to leave at 2:20 pm. The waitress indicated that the guests at the table she reserved for us had not yet left. It was too late for us and we had to leave.. Le Carrefour has 2 lunch shifts (at 12:00 and at 14:00) and reservations are required. A disastrous approach: not all guests necessarily need the same amount of time for their lunch. This was also apparent from the fact that guests were constantly leaving and numerous guests in the queue were seated from 13:30 onwards. Sadly, we were kept waiting. However, queuing for 20 minutes to enter, only to be prompted to leave 30 minutes before the next shift begins, can be frustrating.
For example, we ordered dessert 20 minutes before departure time. While still enjoying our coffee and dessert, the staff's behavior became increasingly impatient. They abruptly removed table settings—almost like magicians pulling a cloth from under a cappuccino. Their hurried, visibly frustrated demeanor escalated, culminating in aggressive actions, such as hastily placing bills on tables.
