Motta Hütte — Restaurant in Vaz/Obervaz

We visited today and even though it wasn’t busy no one said hello or gave us any other recognition for 15 minutes despite walking past us many times. Finally someone came to take our order, a little challenging in German it seemed. We ordered two gins, a bottle of tonic and a bottle of water. A while later one gin arrived, without ice, a tonic and glass of carbonised tab water. Seriously… Watch out, when you order a bottle of fizzy water they are serving bottled tab water and charging the same price as the brand one. A little cheeky if you ask me. Finally we had our drinks and when we asked for the bill we were told that they are only taking cash. Perhaps someone should have mentioned that before. Sad excuse for a supposedly...

Probably the best, nicest and most inviting place in Lenzerheide/Arosa ski resort. Fantastic meals, boasting 14 Gault Millau points (2017/18) and a stunning view throughout the whole Valbella/Lenzerheide valley makes it one of the MUST see spots in the area. Prices range from decent to upscale but are definitely worth it! Who does not fancy duck foie gras or truffles on the slopes will also find classic burgers, veal sausage with onion-sauce and potato gratin or the like. Highly recommend to go there, if you'd like to have a seat right away, try to get there...

On the 2nd Jan 2024, just arrived with my wife at the restaurant and the guy at the entrance (super arrogant and unfriendly) mentions we have to wait 30 min. Ok fair enough! After 2 minutes a couple pops up and by miracle the guy at the entrance (the same guy still very arrogant and unfriendly) finds a table for 2. I asked him, how comes that all of sudden there is a free table. The guy answers: life is unfair! Thanks for the worst customer experience ever! Btw we were very loyal...
