Cœur de la Côte is a cozy spot in Vinzel, perfect for a comforting autumn or winter meal. Their Malakoff is a must-try – perfectly crispy on the outside with a warm, melted cheese center. The first serving with salad is just CHF 12, and each extra Malakoff is CHF 7.60, which is well worth it. The Chasse menu is also a highlight, particularly the noix de chevreuil, which comes in a generous portion and is incredibly tender.

Terrible service. Very unpleasant waitress, Marie. The one with the really short hair. Very impatient and rude. She refused to change our table to another one we preferred when it became available and claimed it was because she had already set up the table we were at. Nothing had been served by then, just cutlery laid altogether for each person on a napkin, nothing too difficult to move. She did not serve us the complimentary bread and salad, but served it to other tables. We had to ask for it from another waitress. Negative and dismissive attitude all through, we had to ask for a change of waitress serving our table....

The pure disappointment. Top for years, now the second time in a row (since march 2019) a real flop. I have the impression that there is a lack of love for the details: the ghastly light green paper table sets, the dried meat was cut unevenly thick and brown, the bread in the bag dried up, the Malakoffs seasoned with far too much pepper, the salad dressing sour from the vinegar. The wine (as well as the olives as appetizer) were great, but both are produced externally. The times when Mr Wolfsteiner was present are over.
