This is a very nice recently renovated hotel. The rooms are a little on the small side but just fine. The hotel has a nice open lobby and a well appointed restaurant with many great sounding dishes on the menu. We would love to tell you about all the great dishes from the grill or about the great checkout service. But we can't. You see we never had the chance. We got to the hotel around 20:40. As we were checking in we told the front desk receptionist that we would be going to the resturant for a late dinner. We were told it would be no problem as the kitchen was open for another 50 minutes. We were in the resturant about 15 minutes later. The server was very nice and helpful. The restaurant itself is nice and comfortable. But the kitchen staff was already breaking down and cleaning hoping to get off work early on a sunday night. We were told by the kitchen that we could not order from the grill. That reduced the menu to about 1/3 of the regular menu. Now I understand that it is a pain to have to clean twice, but you take that risk when you start to clean early. 9 out of 10 times you can get away with it, but with the kitchen open for another 40 minutes, well you have to deal with the fact that you have customers and be willing to make the food you are paid for to make. Not very professional. The apps took over 25 minutes to come out. Seems a bit excessive for a salad and a tartare. But the flavor was good and plated nicely. The mains were also very good and well presented. |The next morning we went down for breakfast which was very boring and uninspired. We had to be elsewhere at 9:00 so we wanted to check out by 8:30-8:45. But no. Turns out there is no receptionist till 9:00. At the front desk there is a sign that says to see the restaurant staff for help. This would be fine if the hotel had trained the restaurant staff in any way whatsoever. But they have not. Our morning server did her best to help and was able to figure it out. Even with the frustration she must have been feeling she always had a smile. What type of hotel does not have a person at the front dest on weekdays?|The beds were quite lively rolling around the room. Ok not that bad, but they did rollaround very easy when you moved. |It really could be a great hotel, but there are just too many...

Read moreWe stayed one night only. The room was clean, small balcony, small room and small toilet/bathroom. The length of the bed is short. I think only 180cm. My husband has to sleep in diagonal position 😀😀😀 because his legs might too long (he is 186cm) Normally the beds in hotel are always 200cm length.
For us everything was OK except it missed “the smile and hospitality gesture”. The man who took care of check in (I guess) only speaks German and Italian. I spoke in English but he replied always in Italian. Maybe because he heard my husband and I talked in French. He has worked in restaurant at that moment. First impression: this man wasn’t friendly He couldn’t found my name on booking list until he showed me the computer and I got my name on it 😀
Breakfast was OK for us. Even though not too many choices but at least the service staff asked me for coffee and eggs. She also brought us the cake to the table once I asked. No smile but the service is good.
Lots of parking space. No air condition but in my room there is small window that we can open for having fresh air.
The amenities were great (it’s rare I found in many hotels lately) There was also safety box, hair dryer.
WiFi connection was not OK. Only few minutes I had chance to have connection at night after waited almost 15 minutes to connect. The next day I lost the connection lol
There is bus stop just in front...
