Restaurant Zugersee Lido — Restaurant in Walchwil

They were really impolite to me. I had my bike with me but didn’t have a lock, so i took it to the terrace. Obviously, i didn’t take it all the way in, as soon as i entered the terrace, i attempted to sit in the entrance. I have no interest of taking my bike into a any restaurant. But for them, instead of just saying “please don’t bring ur bike on the terrace” they were sarcastic and not understanding. Literally one person said “you can leave ur bike in the toilet”. This is childish :) maybe they had a bad day, but whatever the reason, they didn’t have to let it out on me. I just kindly said have a nice day and left. This place used to me one of my common stops for ice coffee. The ice coffee is ok, not crazy good or anything. Anyway I’ll never go here again, neither will ever...

We were there for dinner, on the terrasse.

First, the views of the lake are amazing - the sunset on Immensee was gorgious.

Our starters were all amazing too: Iberic ham, Duck liver, Salmon & Avocado tartare.

The main courses were pretty good, so close to being awesome, but... For instance, the cordon bleu could have been amazing but it was way too salty.

Service was reasonably good (maybe a little slow) but not super friendly, to say the least.

And prices are pretty high.

Overall this was very nice and had the potential to be awesome and deserve the price paid, but the fairly cold service and oversalted courses drove us to 4...

Value for money is very poor. You ask a polite question (food allergy, vegetarian option and wine suggestion) and you receive a very very sarcastic, disinterested and salty response. Besides the sub par service, the quantity (rather small portions that are not very filling) and the quality were completely orthogonal to my expectations. There is extreme price discrimination due to the location at the lake. I would definitely NOT recommend this venue unless you want to have your appetite spoiled by disappointment and feisty...
