Restaurant Heidi-Stübli — Restaurant in Waldenburg

Four of us ate at Heidistübli and were pleasantly surprised. The service was extremely friendly and was able to maintain an overview even in hectic times. The food is very tasty and the portions are large enough to fill you up. The dishes are presented very nicely and the boss is in a good mood to have a conversation. The restaurant makes a well-kept impression, but this is quite difficult given the number of guests. We would like to recommend this restaurant, especially as a stopover before continuing the hike. But what we also noticed is that as hikers on the weekend when we walk up, we had to move off the road at least 30 times to make room for the farmers so that they could drive through with the big cars and tractors. We think that on weekends hikers, families and tourists should be given the opportunity to rest up here and escape from the noise of the city. I must say the food was good. But the SERVICE 😵😵😵 never experienced anything like this in my life. We come to this restaurant every year during our winter holidays and always felt unwelcome. However Today we had an extremely bad experience. First of all we were trying to get some help choosing the dish, because as tourists we are not an experts in local cuisine...but got a strange reply. Then they brought us nuggets instead of Schnitzel, and when I said it wasn't what we ordered the lady said: I'll take it back, but will put it on your bill. What?!?! Next we wanted to give this dish to our friends at the same table, but the lady protested saying we are not allowed to do this...which seems a very strange policy to me. I'm very sad to say that this was most likely our last visit to Heidi Stübli, same goes for...
