The village definitely offers more and the food which is offered by the young Mr. Frei at the Landgasthof Wartegg is definitely very tasty. Ankommen, aussteigen, eintreten - und schon ist klar, uns gefällt es hier! Alles erscheint uns ausserordentlich ruhig, einladend und offen. Der freundliche, unkomplizierte Empfang im familiengeführten Hotel und Restaurant lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Die Zimmer sind hell und grosszügig - teilweise mit neuen Badezimmern. Wasser und Früchte liegen für den von der Anreise müden Gast bereit, eine sehr aufmerksame Geste! Die Nacht war sehr ruhig, kein Verkehr trotz Strasse und Bahnlinie in der Nähe! ||Das Abendessen ist eine Offenbarung - damit haben wir an diesem abgelegenen Ort nicht gerechnet! Was uns in den vier Gängen aufgetischt wird, kann durch unsere Beschreibung schlicht nicht gefasst werden! |Nach dem Einstieg über ein amuse-bouche ging es los mit excellenten Jakobsmuscheln, eingebettet in fantastische Beilagen. Als Liebhaber dieser herrlichen Muscheln liegt unsere Messlatte hoch, was wir aber hier geniessen, setzt neue Massstäbe!! Weitere Gänge entsprechen weiteren Höhepunkten, ästhetisch wie kulinarisch. So überrascht uns das Kalbsfilet mit Bäggli mit einer reduzierten Sauce, die ihresgleichen lange suchen muss. Dazu eine weisse Polenta und Blattspinat, für die ich unbedingt meilenweit laufen würde, um sie wieder einmal zu geniessen! Dann auch das Chateaubriand, mit der obligaten Beilagen wie auch der Sauce béarnaise - absolute Klasse! |Die Ambiente im schönen Garten passt perfekt.
