We have just a word to describe this place: AMAZING. The location is very cozy and typical, easy to reach with bus 61 even if it’s surrounded by fields and factories (classic swiss landscape). Outside was very cold, but the inside of “Waidhof” was very warm and felt like home. Waiters are extremely kind and polite and provide excellent service. We tasted classical Schnitzel and Wurstel with a good beer. The quality of the food is huge as well as the portions! We will definitively go back to try also the Cordon bleu (that comes in different sizes: little lady, lady, man, big man). The price is very fine considering the quantity and quality of food and service. (around 40-45 CHF for a main dish + beer). Best swiss restaurant in Zurich that we have tried so far!

We choose this lovely Swiss Restaurant for of its traditional and gorgeous Atmosphere, and because it is the place we came when we said goodbye to my brother. We ordered their famous Cordon Blue, the Waidhof special with four type of Swiss Cheese and the Wild West. Both tasted ultimately amazing. My sister and brother-in-law both had a burger which they really enjoyed. Highly recommended for those who seek a local place in the country that offers delicious Swiss food.

Great traditional Swiss food cooked right. The selection of Cordon Blue's is very impressive. Super friendly service. No wonder that this totally off the beaten track is always packed. That was my review from two years ago. Since then they have added an enormous heated permanent tent where the garden used to be which quadruples their seating. It's a fun atmosphere but most importantly, the food is still really good. If you are looking for a real Swiss pub, this is it.

I live in the neighborhood and often bike by this restaurant. Nice location with an outdoor terrace overlooking the fields and forests around Seebach. So, this evening I finally tried it out. My experience in two words: culinary disaster! Maybe it was the Imbiss takeout workaround because of COVID? Five tiny Fischknusperli shining with oil and some croquetten for 28 Swiss francs. Talk about bad value for money. The Vulcano rose wine was sour and undrinkable. Three deciliters 15 francs I left half of it there. I mentioned this to the waitress and she said locals like it. To be honest, there are better rosés at Denner. You gotta wonder who is picking their wines. To be fair, the house salad was fresh and quite good for 6 francs. Summary: Go there for the nice view on a spring evening and get a cold beer. I will certainly never return...
