This place is a HIDDEN GEM! The location is superb (definition of “superb”: nicely tucked inside the rice terrace and overlooking the Pacific. However, might be tricky to get to after dark). More over, the food is phenomenal and creative. The ingredients are super fresh and mostly sourced from local farms and fishing villages.
The owner couple are lovely people that simply want to share their creations with others. They’ll introduce the story behind every dish - how it is made and where the ingredients are sourced.
Don’t expect an upscale Omakase place. Instead, it feels like having a laid-back dinner in a friend’s house, which is exactly what we wanted.
I’d recommend getting a bed and breakfast in this village and walking over to 夜月 for dinner. After traveling around the world, this tiny village in Eastern Taiwan never fails to surprise me.
