維基百科介紹 國立中山大學（英語譯名：National Sun Yat-sen University），簡稱中山大學、中山註 1]、NSYSU，是台灣一所前身由中華民國國父孫中山創立的國立大學，中華民國教育部最初7所重點研究型大學之一[6]。因兩岸分治，1980年由總統暨莫斯科中山大學校友蔣經國首肯、第12任行政院長李煥主持高雄現址在台復校。
該校是南台灣首座國立綜合大學，美日領事、美國CFA協會暨UCSD合作機構，以海、商、理工學科及高密度之研究中心群著稱[註 2]。匯聚大量智庫學者[註 3，參與或創立臺灣綜合大學系統、EUTW七校聯盟、PACIBER等學術聯盟。現名列QS世界大學排名第388名9]、全球前50大潛力大學。

國父手創 為培育人才以應積極建設現代化國家之需要，中華民國國父孫中山先生於1924年合併3所廣東省大專校院，改組為國立廣東大學，並親授校訓沿用至今。1926年改名為國立中山大學紀念創校人，並在廣州石牌建立新校址。
