Clean and bright environment, great service, and large parking area opposite the restaurant. It is recommended to make a reservation as sometimes the place can be full and some dishes need to be ordered in advance.

What we order:

四季金沙蝦球 - salted egg green beans and prawns Green beans and prawns were coated in batter and then deep fried, covered in salted egg sauce. Crispy texture and amazing taste, one of the best 👌🏻

糖醋鱸魚 - sweet and sour fish A simple yet delicious dish, reminds me of food back home

和風老皮豆腐 - old style tofu Deep fried tofu with secret sauce underneath, delicious!

客家胡椒封鴨 - Hakka pepper duck confit Duck meat was very tender that it fell off the bones. The portion was also huge, we were a group of 7 and there were still leftovers. Fyi, you need to order this dish 3 days in advance

櫻花蝦芋頭糕 - sakura ebi shrimp taro cake Well, if you like taro then order it, otherwise you can skip this dish. It tasted pretty good but very filling, best for sharing

避風塘鮮蝦 - typhoon shelter prawns A little bit spicy, and quite a hassle because you have to peel the prawns first, also the taste was just ordinary

Rice and hot tea are free, you can always ask for more if...

My father-in-law hosted a 10 people family reunion at 范家宴 and it was an impressive dining experience. We had their NT$5,000 family set for 10. The food was overall delicious, delicate and authentic with great portion & reasonable price.

Our favorites were the fried duck and taro cake. The duck was a rare dish on the menu in other restaurants since it needs master cooking skill. It was juicy, soft and flavorful with special seasoning & Taiwanese kimchi. The taro cake was fluffy and had a balance between...

Enjoyed late dinner here - food was great. Some of the dishes took quite a bit of time to make it to the table but made up for it in how tasty it was. Enjoyed seasonal vegetables, whole crispy duck (the dipping sauce was excellent), steamed fish (flavor was fantastic and so soft/juicy/delicious), and cold chicken which was excellent.

Clean restaurant with great food - ensure you arrive well before closing because they will close early if they...

This restaurant offers Hakka Style cuisine in Miaoli. Their duck is especially good and they allow you to take a photo of it whole before they cut it for you. Unfortunately they seem to not have an English menu but you can count on Google Maps for the photos and just tell them what you want.
